The Adalet Wireless hazardous area wireless system includes a transmitter designed for the demanding locations of a Class 1 Div 1 device. Well suited for the petro-chemical industry or any application subject to extreme conditions. The receiver is designed for quick installation DIN rail mount. This transmitter can accept several process variable inputs including 4 to 20mA, voltage, thermocouples, and RTDs as well as discrete on/off (switch) inputs. RTDs and thermocouples are linearized to temperature. The transmitter is available with three power options: 1) 120/240 Vac 2) +24 Vdc 3) battery power. The battery powered device utilizes two or four (optional) long-life rugged lithium batteries. Battery life can be for several years under certain conditions. The receiver can also be configured as a base unit allowing communication with a maximum of 60 transmitters. These devices utilize proven-reliable 900 MHz frequency hopping spread spectrum technology (FHSS). The output power can be adjusted to 1 watt, the maximum allowable by the FCC, to ensure data reception while achieving maximum transmission distance (miles in the case of line-of-site).
